Fastest way: in the app

Open onem
Go to the Profile tab
Tap Delete account and confirm

Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.

If you no longer have the app

Email contact@donneko.com with the subject Account deletion request and include:

your nickname in onem
the approximate date you created the account
the nickname of someone you chatted with, if you remember one

We reply within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Why we need those details: onem accounts are anonymous — we never asked for your email or phone number, so we have no way to match an email address to an account. That is the same reason we ask you to prove nothing else: there is nothing else to prove.

What gets deleted

Your nickname, optional profile details (name, city, occupation), interests and profile photo
Your stored location
Your stories and your presence in other people's lists, maps and search results
Your ability to sign back in to that account

What remains, and why

Messages you already sent stay in the other person's conversation — they are that person's record of a conversation, the same as a text message you sent to someone's phone.
A stripped record that the account existed, with no identifying content. Without it, conversations other people had with you would break, and we could not answer billing questions about purchases already made.
Reports filed against the account, kept for safety.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your onem account does not cancel an active subscription — the App Store or Google Play bills it, so it must be cancelled there. See Support for the steps.
